Children's Fitness Tax Credit
The Children's Fitness Tax Credit is a non-refundable tax credit available to parents who have children under the age of 16 who are enrolled in an eligible program of prescribed physical activity. The credit is determined based on the total amount paid throughout the year in registration fees for eligible programs, up to a maximum of $500 per child per year. Only amounts paid for fees within the appropriate tax year are eligible.
Please refer to the attached link for further details http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/.
According to the CRA web site, the children's fitness tax credit, including the supplement for children with disabilities, will be eliminated for 2017 and later tax years.
